Piedras Blancas National Park is a lush rainforest abounding with rare flora and fauna located in the Puntarenas Province near La Gamba. The park is considered one of the top bird watching locations in Costa Rica, and is an important gathering site to many bird species. Over 53 species of bats can be found here, as well as scarlet macaws, toucan, white-faced capuchin, two-toed sloth, anteater, five elusive feline species and a number of exciting amphibians and reptiles.
